In Thailand, the Queen's Birthday is a national holiday celebrated annually on June 3rd. This day is in honor of Queen Suthida, the current queen consort of King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X), following her marriage to the king on May 1, 2019.
History: Previously, the Queen's Birthday celebration was held on August 12th to honor Queen Sirikit, the queen consort of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), who was much loved by the Thai people. Following King Bhumibol's passing and subsequent changes in the royal family, the date has been updated to reflect the birthday of the current queen consort.
