Prithvi Jayanti in Nepal

Prithvi Narayan Shah was born in 1723 A.D. to King Narabhupal Shah and Queen Kaushalyawati. He ascended to the throne of Gorkha in 1743 A.D. With a vision to unify the various small kingdoms and principalities into a single nation, he embarked on a military campaign that eventually led to the creation of modern Nepal.
