Saint Kliment Ohridski's Day is celebrated on December 8th in North Macedonia. It is a day dedicated to honoring Saint Clement of Ohrid, one of the first Medieval Bulgarian Saints, and a disciple of Saints Cyril and Methodius, who were the creators of the Cyrillic script.
Saint Clement was one of the most prolific and important educators and writers in the First Bulgarian Empire. He is credited with creating the Cyrillic alphabet, which was most likely developed by his students based on his early works with the Glagolitic script. He also founded the Ohrid Literary School, which became an important cultural and educational center.
