Traditions and Celebrations:

• Decorations: Houses and streets are adorned with Christmas lights, trees, and decorations. A central feature is the Christmas tree, often decorated with lights, tinsel, and baubles.
• Christmas Dinner: A key aspect of the day is the festive meal. Traditional dishes include roast turkey or goose, stuffing, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets (sausages wrapped in bacon), Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, and gravy. Desserts often feature Christmas pudding or mince pies.
• Gift-Giving: Exchanging gifts is a core part of Christmas festivities. Presents are typically opened on Christmas morning.
• Religious Services: Many attend church services on either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve is particularly popular.
